After weeks of submissions, thousands of public votes and rigorous final judging, the ‘Shoot it. Share it’ Grand Prize Winner and First-Prize Category Winners were announced this week at NAB 2012. Graham Streeter now officially holds the title of this year’s Grand Prize Winner for his music video, “This Guy’s in Love with You.”
As Grand Prize Winner, Graham is awarded a Panasonic 42” TH-42BT300U Pro Plasma reference Monitor and Vocas Micro Four Thirds to Prime Lens adapter, prizes valued at more than $5,000 total.
“This Guy’s in Love with You” is a soulful music video released in the name of marriage equality. Graham, owner of Imperative Pictures in Los Angeles, acted as director/ cinematographer on this project. The video features Grammy-nominated jazz saxophonist Dave Koz and a sly cameo by trumpeter Herb Alpert, whose 1968 version of the same song by Burt Bacharach and Hal David shot to number one on the charts.
The first-place winners in each competition category were also announced. Each will receive a Vocas Matte Box and Rail System.

Documentary: Maggie’s Place by David Hildreth
This documentary preview takes us on an emotional tour of Maggie’s Place, a program that places homeless pregnant women in “homes of hospitality” that provide refuge and care.
Commercial: Riviera Skateboards by Brandon Moore
This visually stunning commercial features skateboarders turning a variety of beautiful landscapes into their own personal skate parks.
Student Film: Word by Tara Trudell
This film is a personal profile of Tara Trudell as she visually expresses her love of poetry and its therapeutic effect on her life.
This year’s contest brought in a plethora of high-quality entries and showcased hundreds of talented AF100 users. As we celebrate the winners of this contest, we are reminded creativity comes in a variety of forms.
