NAB 2012 is right around the corner and Panasonic is gearing up to demonstrate our commitment to providing innovative solutions that help broadcasters and production professionals deliver their best work. Booth #3607 in Central Hall will showcase an array of product offerings and integrated solutions.

Panasonic will kick off NAB 2012 with a press conference at 12:30 PM (PST) on Sunday, April 15.  For those who cannot make it to Las Vegas, the press conference will be streamed live at www.panasonic.com/promos/nab/2012.

“Extraordinary performance in a real world” is this year’s theme and Panasonic will highlight its pledge to drive innovation and deliver reliable solutions to content creators.  Members of our Media Production Services team will be announcing major partnerships, AVC-ULTRA, our latest video compression format, and several significant new products.

The past year has proved incredibly successful for the AG-AF100 Large Imager HD Cinema Camcorder and many filmmakers have graciously shared their success stories with us. So much so that this year’s ‘Shoot It. Share it’ video contest featured AF100 users exclusively. The grand prize winner and the five category winners will be announced Sunday, and the top videos ranging from cinematic shorts to nature and wildlife footage will be shown. Some of this footage will also be on display at our booth (#C3607).

Sports production will also be up at bat for Panasonic at NAB this year as we will disclose high-profile customer purchases, as well as more detail on Panasonic’s key role in broadcasting the 2012 London Olympic Games.
