For the second year in a row, Panasonic has won the LCD/signage display product category with its LFP30 Series outdoor capable professional LCD displays. Last year the 103” TH-103VX200U Professional Plasma Display won the category.

CRN highlighted the LFP30 Series’ IP66-rating, meaning it is designed to resist excessive heat, extreme cold, and dust and water damage without requiring an additional enclosure. The display is also built with a corrosion-resistant aluminum casing and 1000 cd/m2 brightness for excellent visibility, even in bright ambient lighting. Finally, these displays stand up to the cold with the Winter Mode setting is activated. This mode warms the LCD panel to allow it to operate in temperatures as low as –4 °F (–20 °C). CRN noted that LFP30 Series is an excellent solution for the growing number of outdoor digital signage applications across a number of vertical markets such as education and mass transportation.
